It’s National Fitness Day this Wednesday 9th September 2015. Do you have anything planned?

Venues around the UK will run a range of different exercises and fitness opportunity for 30 minutes and they will be free of charge. Leisure centres, clubs and parks are all taking part so find an event and bring a friend because its far more fun that way and if you love the class you can continue to attend together.

Although Full Figured Fitness is a little late in joining National Fitness Day for this year (so I am not running any free 30 minute fitness classes) I still wanted to give a shout out and make sure people know about it because it is a fantastic thing to celebrate. It is also a great way to try an exercise that you might not normally want to take part in.

They are hoping to make this year the most visible annual celebration of physical activity so that it becomes the most active day of the year around the UK.  When you visit their website you can put in your postcode to find what is on near you.

There is more than enough evidence that proves the vital role of exercise in our life. It is just as important for those of us with a fuller figure, so don’t use being overweight as an excuse to be inactive. Until I put my body through exercise I had no idea just how much I was capable of doing.

Even after the day is over remember I am regularly running fitness classes in Fulham  with men and women who are all classed as overweight and obese so never let that stop you from attending.
